Featured Car/Driver of the Week
Who is this guy, Tim Aro, Who seemingly crawls out of the woodwork in 1997 to possibly be the only person to challenge Kevin Bailey's run at the CS title? After languishing in anonymity in the Central Pennsylvania Region and driving a 1986 Toyota MR2 in CS for about three years, Tim moved to southeast Virginia, bought a Porsche 924S, joined the Old Dominion Region, and started to kick butt in Tidewater Sports Car Club Events. Since obtaining the Porsche in the fall of 1996, he has not seen defeat except at the hands of Mr. Bailey, once at the Nashville ProSolo2, and once at the Harrisburg ProSolo2. Tim does not let winning go to his head. In fact, he still feels he has a great deal of improvements to make before he goes to Kansas in September. He is always willing to share his ideas on how a course should be run, and loves to hear others' ideas as well. As the Publicity Chair in the TSCC, he has arranged an autocross school which he hopes will be successful in helping others learn some of his"go-fast" techniques. Autocross.com would like to thank Karen Kraus for the Photo and information about Tim Aro. We need some more submissions. Lets don't be modest now! Here is a good chance to reward someone in your club that does well on course or in the support of your organization. It's time they get credit for the excellence. If you have a scanned image of the car/driver just send an attachment along with a little information about the driver, car and their success.webmaster@autocross.com If you have photographs just send them to us at Autocross.com, PO Box 123828, Ft. Worth, TX. 76121 and we will scan them for you and return the photographs. Remember to send information about the driver, car and their success. Give it a try |
