The Divisional Solo II Safety Steward usually appoints the Event Safety Steward.

As the event Safety Steward, you are responsible for the overall safety of the event. You should review the sections of the rule book (4. & Appendix F, SII 2.1, 5.3) that pertain to safety to be sure you understand what is expected of you for this event.

Verify that the insurance certificate is correct and present at the event site.

Make sure that the Chief of Workers has assigned you enough backup Safety Stewards to accomplish your responsibilities through out the event.

It is not the responsibility of the Safety Steward to be the "Wavier wrist band Patrol Cop". It is the responsibility of the Safety Steward to see that someone is proactively getting people to sign the Insurance waver.
