Texas Region
Swap Meet and Picnic,
To the benefit of Harry Sauce
July 19th, 2008
For those of you who don’t know, Harry Sauce, brother of Mike Sauce, was severely injured in an accident while competing in the Texas Region’s Sunburn Double National event May 5th. Harry face many months of recovery and could use our help. There will be a donation can where you may contribute if you wish. We will also have a silent auction and are currently soliciting items. If you have a product or service you can contribute for the auction contact me as noted below.
We’re going to provide plenty of cold drinks and some hot dogs to chase them down with. What you need to bring are some chairs, shade if you got it, spare parts you want to get rid of, and some kind of a picnic style side dish. And to sweeten the deal we’re going to offer prizes to the best five dishes as determined by your vote. I’m going to set up a slot car track so we’ll have a little wheeled competition. I’ll bring an R/C truck too (bring yours if you’ve got one) and we’ll try a little R/C Solo. So knock the dust off all that stuff lying around the garage and let’s see what we can swap around. We’ll start early, about 8am, but come by anytime until midnight.
Please let us know a head of time if you’re planning on participating in the swap meet. If you will need a space larger than 6x10, please let us know before July 12th.
We’re being hosted by Ralph Siebert at his home at 416 Oak Haven Keller, Tx. 76248. Hwy 377 is under construction north of downtown Keller so look carefully for W. Caylor Rd on the west side of the Hwy about a mile north of town. After crossing the RR tracks take a right on Katy, then left on Oak Haven. Ralph’s house is all the way at the end.
